TEAM SELECTION
Registration or participation in tryouts does not guarantee a roster position.
MULTI-SPORT ATHLETES
Multi-sport athletes are welcome. Athletes are still expected to participate in Niagara Spears tryouts, practices and team requirements. Communication is required when legitimate scheduling conflicts occur.
ATHLETE SUPPORT
Registration asks families to provide relevant diagnoses, learning needs or other important information that may affect how an athlete learns, communicates or participates. This information helps our coaches and staff better understand how to communicate, teach and support each athlete effectively.
COMMUNICATION
Communication is mandatory throughout the season. At U14, parents remain actively involved in team communication. At U16 and U18, communication becomes increasingly athlete-led. Players are expected to communicate directly with coaches and their Team Manager and take responsibility for attendance, team communications, learning their playbook and assignments, and attending required online or film sessions.
